Plugin: Smart PushPull

sketchucation forum member a4chitect has released a new plugin called SmartPushPull.




It is still in rapid development, so all the planned features are not implemented yet; but it's already a great addition to your modeling toolset.

Sketchucation.com Live!

Coen and crew quietly went live with the new sketchucation.com tutorial site earlier this week.

Most people familiar with the SketchUcation name know it mainly from the popular and friendly forums: the SketchUcation Community Forums (SCF.)

Sketchucation.com is a compliment to the SCF with the goal being "to be an online educational resource and global provider in Google SketchUp needs." To support this, the site has launched with 25 SketchUp tutorials in 3 levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

In addition, my new Extensions Index has debuted. The aim of the EI is to be a comprehensive list of all available SketchUp extensions. It currently has over 650 searchable exensions.

silvershadows eyecandy2: Blackhawk Helicopter

silvershadow doesn't post often, but it's worth the wait. Some may remember the first "eyecandy" post of a highly detailed water-front village. Now he's pushing the limits of SketchUp once again with this model of a Blackhawk helicopter posted at SCF.

SketchUp "Eye Candy"

SCF member silver_shadow has posted some images of what he modestly called "eye candy." The water scene was created over 4 days, and was made using only SketchUp and a handful of SketchUp plugins.

There is a series of 12 images showing a litte of the process, and some good discussion of techniques used, also.

SketchUcation Reboot

If you recently registered or posted at Sketchucation, and now you can't login, or your post is gone - SCF had a technical problem and had to restore from a backup. You'll need to re-register (if you can't login.)

Dear SCF user,

Unfortunately because of a bug in the forum software we experienced major technical problems that were irreversible.

Our solution was to restore a server backup made yesterday, March 12th.
Because of this, we lost 68 newly registered members. If you know any of these members or see questions in other boards about this (for example PushPullBar, Google Groups, Etc.) please notify these people of the backup restoration and that they can safely re-register here.

We apologize for this issue, but are happy it has been resolved now.
